We share and fulfil the same core mission, advancing the founding legacy of Mikhail Gorbachev by channelling the unique strengths of the United Kingdom—its global finance expertise, diplomatic networks, technology adoption, and innovative spirit—to address the most pressing challenge of our time: building a secure and sustainable future for all.

Our Mandate: A Legacy in Action

In 2020, Mikhail Gorbachev formally entrusted Ruy Campos Dugone with the task of guiding the Green Cross legacy within the United Kingdom. Our mandate is clear: to remain faithful to the principles and mission of our parent organisation, deploying models and solutions suited to the complexities of the 21st century.

Our distinctive identity is defined by how we execute this mission. We focus on converting principles into measurable outcomes with a capacity for investment for both public and private sectors. Our work is grounded in GCI's pillar of addressing poverty through economic development, recognising that sustainable infrastructure is the foundation for both prosperity and planetary health.

Therefore, we operate at the critical intersection of project development, strategic advisory, and financial innovation. We design and verify sustainable infrastructure projects while simultaneously creating the advanced financial instruments needed to fund them at scale.
